Summer desserts

First of all, I have to apologize for the lack of blog posts for over a year. This is way too long even for me :)
This year has been quite busy for me. In September I moved to another city, started university and as much as I tried to keep up with my polymer clay creations I didn't do very well. But now it's summer, I finally managed to make all the pieces that I ran out of this year and move on to some new pieces.
I came up with those ice cream cupcakes back in June but I only recently got to make them. Ihave to admit, I really like them. They are one of my favorites.
Also this summer I'm completly obsessed with nail polish. In two months my collection probably tripled. There are so many different colors and I apparently need them all :) I also try out some other nail art like those:

Do you have a favorite nail polish? A go to color for summer? Mine would probably be OPI's Good Man-darin is hard to find - a perfect orangy-red.

Bobby pins

I love them! I've been making lots of them recently. Bobby pins are so cute! I especially like them with miniature waffles. I'll make some more of those. Donut bobby pins also look great but I ran out of supplies so while I'm waiting for those to arrive I'll work on some new cupcake designs.

I'm back!

Couple of days ago I made some cute new cupcakes. I decided to experiment a little with colouful cupcake cases and I really like how they turned out. I'll definitely be making some more.

With only one exam left on Thursday I've just opened custom orders section in my shop. It's been such a long time without creating anything that now I spend all days with clay. And I couldn't be happier!

In some other news, now you can follow me on Twitter. I think that it would be a great way to stay in touch with you. You could ask me questions there and I'll be tweeting what's new in my shop or when I put up some new photos on Flickr and of course I'll let you know about giveaways that I'll be having very soon, so make sure you follow me @mmagdaart :)

Moo cards and summer collection

Hi,

Some time ago I ordered 50 free Moo cards that Etsy and Moo offered. They arrived couple of days ago and I love them! They are perfect - not too big, not too small :) I'll definitely ordersome more. Look how cute they are!

Unfortunately this offer is over now but maybe they'll have it again some day :)

Although I'm still busy with exams stuff I couldn't resist and made one pair of earrings in the mean time.

It's like a little sneak peak of my summer collection. I've got so many summer food ideas! I can't wait to make them all!

Miniature cookie preparation board

Hi,

How are you all doing? In two weeks my final exams start so I have to study a lot but some time ago I made my first preparation board which I wanted to show you.

I'm quite happy with it as it's the first one. Also I decided to take your advice and turned that little board into a magnet. And it's perfect! I'll definitely make some during my 4 month long summer break :)

I've got so many ideas for new little treats! Cupcakes and ice cream cones, just in time for summer and so much more!

As soon as my exams are over I'll start mini baking and you'll hear from me more often here as well :)

Baking powder experiment

I found that idea some time ago and I finally tried it Basically, you take some clay mix it with TLS, add some baking powder and then bake it as any clay creation. I have to admit I was sceptical about that idea. I couldn't believe that I'll get real spongy texture. But I tried anyway. I'm still not sure if I like it or not. It takes a lot of time, you have to bake it first then decorate and bake again. I think that I'm not patient enough xD But on the other hand it does look spongy :) What do you think? Is it worth repeating?
Some other news, I went to see 'Dear John' yesterday and I love it! If you haven't seen it yet you should definitely go. I love the story so much! It's a lot like 'The Notebook'. On my way back home I got the book so now I'll go to read some :)

Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I spent my day at home because of the snow. It was snowing so much last night that when I woke up I couldn't even see the street. Everything was covered with snow.
My winter holidays finally began! Now I have some more time for my clay creations. I made so many tarts and cupcakes today but I fell like I need some new ideas. I was thinking, maybe a preparation board? Little board with some fruit and a bowl of fruit salad. Or maybe one with cookies? It would make a great magnet. What do you think?

Sesame Street cuteness

Hi,

First of all, I'm soooo bad at blogging! Posting once a month if definitely not enough :P
But anyway, I'm tired of winter. It's been so cold lately! -25 degrees?! No one can stand such a weather for that long, especially me. I love sun and summer heat so much. And now I don't even remember what the sun looks like xD
Good side of this weather is that going out is almost impossible so I have a lot of time to be creative :)
This week was Sesame Street themed for me. I made Cookie Monster and Elmo cupcake earrings and pendants.

They are sooo cute! I've even made one for myself and I wear it all the time!
Tomorrow I'll tell you about my salmon cane which I made couple of weeks ago.

Foodie rings :)

Hi,

As I'm still sick and I stay home more than usual I can make some pretty things.
Yesterday I made some rings.

I really like this one. Breakfast theme has been on my mind for a while xD

I really love making polymer clay pizzas. They look so cute!

Now, I've run out of clay. And my delievery is somehow delayed so all I can do is wait...
I hope to get it tomorrow because I'd really like to try to make a salmon cane. It will be quite a big challenge but I have a good feeling about it :)

Creative Weekend

Hi,

Today would be a really nice day if I wasn't sick :( But still this morning I managed to take some photos of my latest creations xD
I've been trying to make hot dog earrings for quite a long time but somehow it was never the way I wanted it to be. But this time they turned out pretty well.

I love charm bracelets so I made my first one. With cupcakes ^^.

I also like stud earrings. I made some "open" sandwiches. I'm still waiting for my findings to arrive so I'd have to glue them on later :)

Oh, and Sampler Box will be avaliable on Wednesday January 20th :)

Cupcakes and ice cream

Hi,

How was your Christmas? Mine was ok but I like the atmosphere before Christmas more than the holiday itself :)
Since I had a break from school I had some time to make pretty things :)
I really love cupcakes (especially fake ones ^^) and when I started making them I just woke up few hours later and had so many of them around me :) They are soooo cute that I just couldn't stop :)

Also I've always wanted to make some ice cream earrings. And again, when the first one turned out quite good I just couldn't resist :)

I'll add some of these to my Etsy in January :)

Sunny Saturday

Hi,

All week has been so cold that I was freezing only looking outside but today we finally got some sun :) Oh, and I finally decorated Christmas tree. It's so beautiful! Have a look:

Isn't it just perfect? I'm crazy about Christmas this year so I made some gingerbread cookies of polymer clay.

Also, yesterday I recieved some new clay. I've always been a Fimo fan but wanted to try Sculpey as well. It's nice and there are more colours than Fimo's but it's a little too soft especially for details.
But I'm completly in love with the pink perl Sculpey. It's sooo cute and sparkly when you look closer.

Since my last sandwich did so well on etsy I made some more.

And I failed with gingerbread house again :( It looks like one is all I can get. The real one which I'll be making on Tuesday has to be better :)

Hi,

I know it's been a long time since my last post but today I've got some pretty things to show you.

First of all, polymer clay sandwiches.

They actually turned out better than I'd expected :) I added them to my Etsy (link in the side).

What do you think? I've added some of those to my Etsy as well.

Also I promised some sewing. So here is my Christmas something :)

I can't decide what it should be. My mum says it would be great as glass pad but if I add some ribbon it could make a cute christmas tree decoration.

As it's Christmas coming I think that I should make another polymer clay gingerbread house but less crooked this time :) And also I'll be making a real one soon. I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun! :)

Hi,

I'm really tired today. But I promised some other earrings from yesterday. So here they are :)

I know, the lighting is bad again but I forgot to take photos earlier.
Anyway, I've always wanted to make bread but it seemed quite a challenge :P But when I got some new colours of pastels I decided to try. It turned out really cute. I'll try some more "bready" designs later :) Maybe a sandwich?

I think I'll to sleep earlier today. Maybe tomorrow I'll be more creative :)

Fruity Wednesday

Hi,

Today we have holiday. It's nice to have even one day free of school :)
So I decided to create something again. I've seen many polymer clay creations with pastels chalk but after a failure few months ago I left them deep in my drawer. I decided to take them out again and try to make some fruit earrings :)

I like banana the most. This mango is a lot better than my first one so I'm really happy :) I'll definitely use pastel chalks again. What do you think of that technique?

Christmas mood

Hi,

Today. for the first time this year it felt like christmas for me. I love the atmosphere and the smell of christmas (although meeting my whole family - not as much :/).
So I thought that it's a good time to start my crafty winter season :) I made a gingerbread house. I love them so much! I wish we had them here but they seem to be only american tradition :( So anyway, there it is :)

Isnt' it cute? I'm quite hapy with how it turned out but it could have been a little less crooked :)
I'll definitely try to make better one in some time.
